Monday Monday

Today was a pretty average day. Nothing really big and important happened. I was alone for about an hour and a half, but luckily I had my camera at the ready...at least till it completely died on me:

While I was walking around aimlessly at the high school, I found this broken pencil next to this cigarette butt. To me this symbolizes the link between school-related stress and drug use.

There is a very nice looking stone bench that curves around.

Here are some pictures that I took at a small park that I discovered down the street from my house. It's a great place to go if you want a quiet place to relax. The one with my feet in it was taken while I was on the swing. I almost dropped my camera when I fell off of the swing, but I got good results.

My First Photographs

I am now Able to download pictures! Here are some of my first pictures that I think you will enjoy (All of these were either taken outside of or during the musical):

Here are some of the many shots I took of the stage lights. I wanted to see what would happen if I moved the camera around while the shutter shut. I liked my results. Usually.

I took this one outside of the high school. This is an empty orange juice container that someone threw on the ground. To me, this says "Hey, pretty soon the ground is going to be covered with this. We have to do something about it!" I recycled this bottle after I took its picture.

This is some of the petals that landed in the wings of the stage. Even though these aren't real rose petals, this picture couldn't be more perfect.

I like to spend time in this little ally outside of the D-Wing. Partly for the solitude, but mostly for the feeling that I get while I am there. I feel like I can think clearly here.

This picture is along one of the many walls of the set. I don't really know why I took this one, but I think it looks nice, don't you?

These two photos are experiments of how creepy can I get my pictures to look in the rain. Well, when I took these it was more of a heavy fog. I thought that the flash would bounce off of the water particles in a cool sort of way, and they did!

This was taken in the wings. The lights that you see are actors. All I can really say is that this picture was a complete accident.

Here are the actors throwing their rose petals into the air at the end of the musical. I had too take at least 6 shots for each of the 4 times this happened to get the results that I wanted. This is mostly due to the fact that the petals were not thrown very well.

I always thought that it would be really interesting to get a picture of the actors rising off of the stage after they all fell down. By the way, the photo of the actors on the ground is a really lucky shot, because that light was closing up really fast.

What I find interesting about this picture is that only the book can be seen, and not the rest of the room.

This is the final picture that I want to post for now. I was feeling kind of lonely and gloomy when I took this, and I think it shows.

Well, that's all Ive got for now!

Friday The Thirteenth Part II

Hello all!
I cannot apologize enough for being MIA for so long. My only explanation is that when school started, so did Tech week for the musical Bye Bye Birdie. I have been very busy over the last three weeks. Just in case any of you are wondering, the show was spectacular! And, I got a digital camera, and I am very happy about that. AND I am going to the Disturbed concert on April 15th!!!!!

But enough about that. Back to business...

Lately I have been more and more inspired bye the the blog The Eye Of A Clown, by Clown of Slipknot. In case you don't know what I am talking about, Clown has a blog in which he shares his photography with the world. He also shares surreal opinions of the life of his art. I am going to attempt lo lamely replicate his idea by occasionally posting pictures from my new camera into the blog. I am currently downloading the camera's software now.
And now for my story of Friday the thirteenth the second.
This time around, lets just say it was a bit more unlucky.
The Tri-M music honors society held its first annual Rock and Rollos fundraising event. At the event, there is a Rock Band tournament, DDR, and some fun table games. There is also free junk food made available to all of the attendants. The times were 7 to 9pm. The tickets were five dollars. I purchased one. I went. It sucked.
Well, that's not really a fair statement on my part. I got to see a lot of my friends, which was nice. Even nicer, Devon showed up, and I didn't even think that she would be in town let alone that I could see her. However, not that many people showed up, the music was a bit too loud, and my band didn't even get to play.

Personally, I would have much rather gone to Open Mic. I would have had much more fun, and I would have seen most of the same friends their anyway. I kind of want my five dollars back, but I have already gotten my moneys worth:

I stole an entire bag of chips when I left.

And that is what I would like to leave with, for now. I expect to have some pictures up soon.

Until next time (which hopefully will be sooner rather than later)
